                                                    Demo for Selection tool

Reflection questions for clone war

1. What is the strongest area of your work? Why

The strongest area of my work was the layer mask because as I got to play with it I was able to match up the background with where the clones were and where the background matched each other.

2. What area of your work can be improved on? How?
The area I need to work/improve on is when taking the pictures try to stay still and not move my hands while taking the picture. I can practice taking other pictures and not move my hands while taking the pictures.

3. What was easy about this art activity? Explain.
The easiest thing about this art activity is taking the picture. It is the easiest part because all you had to do was stand still take at least 30 pictures of an other person, pets, etc..

4. What was difficult about this art activity? Explain.
The difficult part about this art activity was trying to match up the layers because it depends on your picture that you took some of them aren't match up with the background . Which made it difficult to match the clones and the background.

 5. What mediums did you use? What tools in Photoshop/Illustrator did you use? How did you use them? Be specific.
The mediums I used was my phone to take the 30 pictures and used Photoshop to do the rest. The tools I use were the move tool, brush tool, layer mask, and set background color(switch foreground and background colors(X)). The move tool was used to move pictures. Layer  mask is used to clone the person in the different location/pose which is the definition of clone war. You use the brush tool to make the person visible. The Switch foreground and background colors is  used when you are cloning the person in the location and when you switch it to black you are erasing the backgrounds items you want to fix.

6. How did you demonstrate the objective in this art activity?
I demonstrated the objective in this activity by taking 30 pictures as asked and using the tools as demonstrated by the teacher when she did the demo for the clone war. Also did the contact sheet which showed that I did the 30 pictures.

7.  If you could do this art activity again, what would you do differently?
If I could do this art activity again then the thing I would do differently is taking the pictures without any movement from me and makes sure it is in the same location but different poses from the model.

 1. What is the strongest area of your work? Why?

My strongest area of my work is layering with 3D because I have done it before for my project in middle school and it is very fun using it.

2. What area of your work can be improved on? How?

The area of my work that can be improved on is maybe adding more of the letters in the picture. I can add the letters by doing ctrl c and paste it by doing ctrl v.
3. What was easy about this art activity? Explain.
The easiest thing about this art activity was choosing a letter. It was easy because the letter I chose was the first letter in my name.
4. What was difficult about this art activity? Explain.
The difficult part of this art activity was use the rule of third. It was difficult because using the rule of third you had to know where the 4 spots in the picture intersected.
5. What mediums (materials) did you use? What tools in Photoshop/ Illustrator did you use? How did you use them? Be specific.
The mediums I used were the move tool, the marquee tool, 3D tool, the horizontal type tool. I used the horizontal type tool to type my letter. I used the 3D tool to layer my picture. I used the marquee tool to write the letter in.

6. How did you demonstrate the objective in this art activity?
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by doing the assignment.
7. If you could do this art activity again, what would you do differently?
It would be that I would try to do a different letter and change the layering of the picture and the letter. I would try to do a different and fancy font.
