  Tattoos

Reflection question:
1.      What is the strongest area (concerning technical execution) of the piece of work you made?  Why? My strongest area of the piece of work I made is choosing the tattoos. It is my strongest because I know that I wanted to do something original that you usually don't get as a tattoo.  I also know I can't draw so I need to choose two different tattoos and print it and trace both of them to create something new.
2.      What area of your work can be improved on? How? The area of my work that can be improved on is blurring the tattoos so that they looked part of my skin. Go to the 13th tab in Photoshop and it  looks like a drop of water so click on  it and there is another thing that pops up click on the  first one.
3.      What was easy about this art activity? Explain. The easiest about this art activity is choosing what part of your body you wanted to put the tattoos on. It was easy since you can choose your leg/arm/face to make you looking  to be cute/tough/etc....
4.      What was difficult about this art activity? Explain. There wasn't anything to difficult because we were using tools we have already learned in class and the pervious art activity.
5.      What mediums (materials) did you use? What tools in Photoshop/Illustrator did you use?How did you use them? Be specific. The mediums I used are scanner , computer. I used the computer for printing the tattoos and used It to find them too. I used the scanner to scan my drawing of the tattoos. The tools in Photoshop I used was blur tool, and the dodge tool.
6.      How did you demonstrate the objective (the goal) in this art activity? I demonstrated the objective by using the dodge tool, blur tool, in order to make my tattoos part of my skin. The dodge tool was used to blend the tattoos into the skin. The blur tool was used to lighten the tattoos so that it can look like real tattoos.

7.      If you could do this art activity again, what would you do differently?  If I can do this art activity again then I would choose different tattoos has flowers in it.  Which symbolizes spring time for me.

Reflection questions for clone war

1. What is the strongest area of your work? Why

The strongest area of my work was the layer mask because as I got to play with it I was able to match up the background with where the clones were and where the background matched each other.

2. What area of your work can be improved on? How?
The area I need to work/improve on is when taking the pictures try to stay still and not move my hands while taking the picture. I can practice taking other pictures and not move my hands while taking the pictures.

3. What was easy about this art activity? Explain.
The easiest thing about this art activity is taking the picture. It is the easiest part because all you had to do was stand still take at least 30 pictures of an other person, pets, etc..

4. What was difficult about this art activity? Explain.
The difficult part about this art activity was trying to match up the layers because it depends on your picture that you took some of them aren't match up with the background . Which made it difficult to match the clones and the background.

 5. What mediums did you use? What tools in Photoshop/Illustrator did you use? How did you use them? Be specific.
The mediums I used was my phone to take the 30 pictures and used Photoshop to do the rest. The tools I use were the move tool, brush tool, layer mask, and set background color(switch foreground and background colors(X)). The move tool was used to move pictures. Layer  mask is used to clone the person in the different location/pose which is the definition of clone war. You use the brush tool to make the person visible. The Switch foreground and background colors is  used when you are cloning the person in the location and when you switch it to black you are erasing the backgrounds items you want to fix.

6. How did you demonstrate the objective in this art activity?
I demonstrated the objective in this activity by taking 30 pictures as asked and using the tools as demonstrated by the teacher when she did the demo for the clone war. Also did the contact sheet which showed that I did the 30 pictures.

7.  If you could do this art activity again, what would you do differently?
If I could do this art activity again then the thing I would do differently is taking the pictures without any movement from me and makes sure it is in the same location but different poses from the model.
